You know when they say something is "too good to be true"? This price just seems too good. So, what's wrong with this jack? Why don't I want it?

Hey Mike, I'm sure there is a mechanic shop on base there , why not go and see what they use. I was in the GSE (Yellow Gear)(Groung Support Equipment) Or as we called it ( greatest Show On Earth)in the Navy. Might get a handle on some tools you might need. They work on tow tractors, hydraulics, compressors, trannys.

Spent 2 years on Diego Garcia.

Invest in a set of good tools. You'll have them all your life. If I'm putting my life in the quality of a jack or a pair of jack stands, and face it, you are, I'm not looking for the cheapest ones. Just the safest.

It won't lift high enough. For a tractor you need a couple of bottle jacks, some blocks, and some GOOD jack stands. Support the tractor on the jack stands, not the jacks, unless you want your wife to call EMS. I have never used a floor jack on a tractor. Some of the big shop jacks may be ok, but not that little one.

$29.99 shipping! That's why you don't want it.

You can get the same kind of jack at Wal-Mart for $20, or a much more useful 3 ton at Harbor Freight for $60.

Mike id spend the money on a good hydralic bottle jack over a floor jack. I use that much more on my tractor.

Get a better one at an auto parts store or even one 3 or 4 ton at Walmart. That way you can return it if it fails. Shipping at ebay is not cheap. By the time you pay shipping you can spend that money on a better quality product.

I have 5 or 6 of them. I put them in all my cars/trucks but I get them at Wal-mart for around $15-20. There ok for a car but I don't use them on tractors other then maybe to hold a piece of equipment up when hooking them up. Shipping cost also is way to much. If you want one just go to wally world.

can you say flimsy? i have a jack like that and it is really cheap made. i keep it in the camper. did you read the lift range? 5-12" might be ok for a small car. those little jack stands might not hold either. would you trust them? typical china junk.

You did say to talk you out of it didn't you?

Mike I see these at flea markets for 25.00 and no shipping. They are a very small jack, they arn`t bad for a car but don`t lift high enough for a pick up.
