The rear PTO for the mulcher was not staying engaged on the FIL's Farmall so he removed it to repair a sheared bolt, when he did the long shaft came out with it, which I gather is supposed to. The problem seems to be getting it aligned to put it back in, any help would be great because you know who will have to do it. Thanks

Mike

I have always slid a long piece of pipe over the PTO shaft and used it as a handle. Don't know which model you are working on, but it may be a two-man job to lift it that way.

Get two long bolts the same size as the bolts that hold it in the tractor. and cut the heads off they will need to be long enought to get them out,but short enought to let you tip the unit to get the sucking tube over the edge of the hole in the back of the housing. screw them in the top holes and slide the unit on then.
