Can anybody post a picture on how the front rim removes from the tractor? I have a 51 M wide front that needs a new tube. Thanks

I thought We explained it two days ago...I think You will have to pull the cast iron wheel center by taking the three 1/4" capscrews out of the center hubcap and remove the cotterkey & the wheelbearing adjusting nut & washer and take the whole wheel off. If You don't have room enough to get the three mounting lugs over & around the cast center You have to pull the wheel. If You have the tractor front axle jacked up it's a two minute job with handtools.

It would actually be a series of pictures, but it really isn't very difficult.

1. Jack up the tractor so the tire is 4-6" off the ground.

2A. If the ears are on the outside of the hub, just remove the three bolts, and the rim will fall off in your lap. (You might not want to let that happen, as tires are HEAVY and it would HURT to have one fall in your lap!)

2B. If the ears are on the inside of the hub, again, just remove the three bolts. Grasp the tire/rim assembly by the sides and push it in towards the tractor a little. Lower the tire/rim assembly to the ground, and rotate it such that one lug is on the bottom. Swing the bottom of the tire/rim assembly out from under the hub, then lift straight up, and off it comes!

Are you the same person that was asking about this a couple of days ago? If not, I wonder why it seems that particular questions come in clumps like this...

The ears are on the OUTSIDE of the hub, but when I remove the three bolts, the rim ain't just falling in my lap! There is no play in it at all. What else would be restricting the rim from "just falling in my lap"?

I guess there is a possibility that you have old/style wheels and new style rims which will not fit on the old style rims unless someone ground them down to just fit.

There should be 1/4 inch or more from the ID of the rim to the OD of the wheel. If there is a gap there then they are just rusted together. Let the tractor off the jack and drive it till it comes off.

If there is no gap between the outside diameter of the wheel and the inside radius of the rim you'll need to get some penetrant in the crack and get it worked loose. You can break the cast wheel.
