I have a IH 2 bottom plow fast hitch and I have no rear depth wheel. I have a picture of the plow in a book showing it to be metal wheel. I have been told that a rubber wheel was also available. The plow came with the IH 300utility (1956) when I purchased it in 1973. I have not done much plowing over the years, but I left the plow setting out back. Now I was looking into restoring the plow and I would like some information on where to get this wheel or even the model no. of the plow. Maybe someone might be able to help me. I have not been to a IH dealer yet because there getting fewer and longer apart. All the locations on the internet were not much help. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Bill Johnson

Bill: The rear wheel is not a depth control wheel, but a landside wheel only. Mounted plows whether they be 1 point, 2 point or 3 point use either a fixed position landside wheel or the long landside, but not both. The long landside is by far the better equipment.

Your plow could be one of several models. There are several models of 2 and 3 bottom mounted plows. We would almost need a photo for pos ID.

Hugh, Thanks to both of you for your quick reply.

Landside wheel. Do you happen to know about what size this could be? I'm thinking about 12 to 16 in. I will keep gathering information. Thanks again for you timely response. If I did have a photo how do I post one on this site? Bill

Dad had a 3 bottom on his 350. It had a steel wheel at the back. Wasn't a depth wheel but worked like a long landslide to keep it straight. It did have a depth wheel tha fit on the left side of the frame. We didn't use it much, but controlled it with the hitch.
