Wanting to move my rear wheels out approx. 4 inchs on each side. I've read other posts on here about tightening and is a 3/4 impact going to give me the torgue to loosen/tighten lock bolts. Do I remember it being 650 ft./lbs.
Is that a 12pt socket or special socket. I was thinking I could use my 12T power pack to push them out after loosening. Any tricks?

Sometimes a GOOD 3/4 drive will break them loose but ya realy need the wedge tool to get them things loose if they are locked down as thight as they are suppose to be . I like to turn the key way down for me i think that they move better on the wheel side of the slot . Make sure that the axel is free of any rust and paint . Now i have had some luck with getting them loose by hitting the end of the axel with a vary big sledge and i am not talken abot a 10 # one either i barrow a 25 pounder from a buddy along with him to swing it . THere have been times that we were not able to break them loose and end up cutting the wedge out and installen a new one. As far as the socket goes i bought a 12 point Williams for my one inch gun .
