Having a hard time changing the generator belt on my os-6 I removed the lock nut & set screw from the pully flange & I can`t get it to budge. When facing the tractor, should the flange go clockwise or counter clockwise to unscrew?Covered it with penatrating oil tonight.Maybee better luck tomorrow. Any help appreciated, Don.

I usually cut the fan belt and the heat the outer pully with the torch. I does't take a lot of heat. Then i replace both belts. Maybe a little wasteful but easier.I have an OS6 too.

It is right hand thread and will go counter clock wise . Also take a wire brush to the threads that you can see , i use a brass drift and lightly tap , you notice that i said lightly tap as like a lot of others i have broken a couple . Ain't they fun . When going back together one is wise to apply a lite coat of never seez to the threads and this makes it much easier the NEXT TIME.
