Just bought a new voltage regulator and had the generator rebuilt. I need to make sure I polarize it correctly. I'm not sure how to do this. Can anyone give me the correct procedure to do this? Thank you.

Larry, you can do as Scotty suggested or else just momentarily flash jump a wire from the BAT terminal on the VR over to its ARM/GEN terminal and you should get a small spark. Assuming the wires in place n good from the ARM/GEN terminal on the VR to the gennys Arm post, thats doing the same thing electrically as Scotty suggested. I usually also first dead ground the gennys Field post to its case, but if alls well it ought to still polarize even without doing that. The genny needs a good frame/case ground to the tractor and the VR needs a good ground also you know.
