I decided to install a choke rod on my Farmall C that I bought last year. I took a rod off a Super A. I know that one connection goes on the carb, one on the hydraulic unit but need to know where it attached by the operator. All help is appreciated.

First it is too short. It has to be shaped to clear the hy resivour area. There is a small bracket to keep it clamped to the body of the res. It should end by the hy controls on another small bracket.

The rod looked too short. It wouldn't reach the light bar. Do you have a source for a C starter rod?

yes i make them from the original pattern. Do you have the two little brackets one for support on the res and the other on the touch control?

I need the rod and the clamp that goes on the light bar. How much would you charge for these items shipped to ZIP 70663?

Ken - I was just flipping through my manual, and I saw a picture of the bracket for the rod. The best way to describe it, would be that it looks exactly like a clamp you would see holding a piece of electrical conduit to a wall. However, it is kind of backwards. The part that is circular (where the conduit would sit) has a hole in it. Through this hole is a screw into the light tree. The other hole (the one you would screw through when hanging conduit) has the choke rod run through it. p.s. - it hangs upside down. -Matt

It attatches on the steering tower - opposite exactly like the starter rod, except on the other side of the insta-act hydraulic levers.

Thanks Matt. This C doesn't have a starter rod either but I think I can figure where to make it fit. This a modified C.
