Hi Old, had B414D and its newer brothers 434 and 384 on our family farm as loader tractors.
Great dependable tractors for 40HP. Hard starting in cold climates, require block or inline heater. The B414 brakes require anual maintance. Glow plug start, if one burns out they all stop working but should only have to use the glow plugs for first start in the day.

My 2 cents

Old, We have a 424 here, the replacement for the 414, Great little tractor, about the size of an 8N but twice the tractor. Live PTO 37HP two remotes, power steering. I wouldn't trade ours for anything.

Produced at the I H C Bradford,Yorkshire, England plant from 1961 to about 66. Replaced the B275 and replaced by the 434 tractor there is a website. Link Hope this helps, Richard.

Old, I see these tractors on e b a y quit often but I don't know much about them. I think the price range runs from about $1500 to $2500 but I may be off on that.
