Is this the stock mounting plate for a char-lynn divider, where it mounts to the center support? Is that deep "V" cut on the top right correct. Don't see a reason for that notch. Also it appears that the right gauge hole (left in photo)has been bent so that the temp gage will be further away from the hood than the oil. Is this right? Or has someone been modifying this mount?

Looks like the one they used for M-SM. Think they made the cut because they bent section where pump mounts at a different angle, because front steering shaft angles to right.

Somebody is shovelin' it pretty good there.

The H and the M don't interchange 'cause the shaft angles are different. The H uses the original plate with an adaptor wedge.

The M takes a different plate like this one.

Allen. Thanks. OK, now forward of this plate there is a casting that holds the plate on and provides two circular supporting holes for the steering shaft and the throttle shaft. But it doesn't look feasible to use that casting unless you cut off the portion that supports the steering shaft. Is the entire steering shaft then supported only by that plate and the char-lynn divider?
