Named after my Grandfather who's tractor I enjoyed so much as a kid. I found out this last weekend that not only was his name Oscar, but his middle initial was 'H'! How fitting! Here are some more pics:

The nine-bolt hubs are pretty easy to sell, too.

Better than I imagined! Non stock rears will lower the grond speed in every gear (probably about 20% or so. That isn't bad. and can be safer. That Hood is way nice compared to many in the un-repaired state. Great find. JimN

Nice tractor!

The flat spot on the lower edge of the hood, right below the A in Farmall is supposed to be there, it provides clearance for the carburetor/manifold.

If you go back to factory wheels/rims you will think the tractor is much larger as it will sit up higher. Right now it does not look much bigger than an A.

You may be able to swap what you have for the original style items.

Appears to have an original IH wide front end. The wide front could easily be worth more than what you paid for the tractor.

Mike- I'm sure your grandpa would be proud! Neat about his middle initial being "H" too!

Gotta love those rear wheels!

In reference to your above post about the holes in the hood, if that one hole that didn't show in your other pic is the one that shows in this one, right above the "A" in "Farmall", then that's where the exhaust came up through the hood.

Without looking at the other pics, the hood doesn't look too bad in this shot. I've seen guys straighten old car fenders, roofs, etc. that look like crumpled tinfoil. In the hands of a good metal man, that hood would be no problem.

Don't know if you caught my post last night on the subject, it was a page or two back when I made it, but see if there's some kind of autobody school near you and see if one of the students would want to straighten your hood for a class project.
