My power steering is a little stiff to turn setting still, seems to work good when tractor is rolling a little, also have a little chatter in my steel hydraulic lines, any suggestions as to what this may be ? Thanks in advance.

Is your hydraulic screen clean? it's found at the bottom of the hydraulic box on the right side of the tractor[ by brake pedals]. It's held on by 4 bolts which I think are 5/16. Might be 3/8.

I have a 450 gas. It does not turn real easy either. I think that is kind of the nature of a 450. I have drove a few others and they were not a one finger turn either. The noise you hear in the lines I think is the surge of fluid in the lines. I do not know what to do to prevent it. I have a 400 that I drill wheat with and it has done it for years. Wish I could help more.

lose fittings

bad cylinders

bad hoses

Sounds like the vent on the top of your reservoir is pluged and not letting it flow and back pressure makes the lines chatter. My 400 is a one finger turn until I get a 1400# round bale on it then it is tough at a sit still but runs like it is supposed to when we go.
