I have a mid 40's Farmall A and a 48" King Cutter brushhog! This afternoon, it started acting up, it would only run near half speed (bogged down) even only trying to mow a ft! Topped off the fluid levels and no change! Ran it around the field for a half hour and it picked right back up where it should have been, the whole time!

In addition to what Paul said, it is possible the float got stuck. Then, when you bounced around the field on it, the float may have popped loose again. Mike

My first guess Marty would be a little rust or crud in the gas tank that plugged up your fuel flow. It may have flowed on through or floated back up in the tank. My check the seditment bowl and the little screen where the fuel line goes into the carb. May find some junk there.
