Hi
I need to know what the "inside" rear wheel width is on a 45 Farmall A.

I have moved from MN to AZ and now need to fly back, get a 26' U-haul truck, and a car trailer for my Farmall-A tractor.
I need to set all this up from 1800 miles away. But...I'm not sure if the "A" will fit on a standard U-Haul car trailer. "INSIDE" wheel width has to be at least 42" to fit on there trailer. I am pretty sure my front wheels are going to make it, but do not know for sure about the rear ones.

Any info ASAP would be great!!!!

Thanks!
-Bill

Thanks guys for your help.

I have "all" my stuff in storage, back in MN. This move has turned out to be a little more "complicated" than when I sat down and planned it all out on paper...

The tractor was my late father-in-laws, and there is no way I would ever leave it behind...

Thanks again for all the answers.

-Bill

They're adjustable dfrom 40" to 68" in 4" increments. One of them settings is sure to make it fit. You do this by reversing the rim, reversing the center wheel and/or bolting to teh inside or outside of the center wheel.

My 1941 A is set as narrow as possible and only measures 40 inches inside front tires and 34 inches inside rear tires. Rear tires can be turned out but do not know how much and some but not all front axles are adjustable but can be very hard to move if they have not been adjusted in some time.
From Guy Fay tractor data book: Available treads....40-68 inches(adjustable rear),43 inches (fixed front), or 44-64 inches (adjustable front. These widths are probaly to center of tire.

You own the tractor and have no manual?? Specs for the rear wheel are 40,44,48,52,56,60,64,68. For front, same except lowest setting is 44 with standard wheels, if the rims are adjustable you can get additional ones of 40 3/4, 68,70. The 40 3/4 is with 4-15 tires, not 5-15. If you have larger tires minimum width is 48.75. Subtract one tire cross section width for the inside width. The manual tells you how to do all this, too complicated for me.
