Can anyone tell me if a radiator off a Farmall Super A will fit in a 100 without modification? The radiator in my 100 is shot and I found someone that has one off a Super A for a reasonable price. I have a parts book for a Super A, but not the 100 series. thanks.

Thanks the responses. It may be better to just get mine recored. Not sure of the cost, but probably cheaper than new. Thanks again.

Nick: I recored my 140 radiator 2 years ago, it's not a whole lot cheaper than new. Mine was $375. CAD. I am very happy with it. I wouldn't get to awfully excited about new radiators, some folks have bought them and they are not the right size. You local rad shop will get that right.

The SA rad will not work unless it's from a super A1. Super A1 is all SA after serial number 356001. The regular SA rad will be 2.5 inches shorter, about 1 inch narrower, thus the Farmall 100 sheet metal will not bolt up.

Probably not. The 100 should have the taller pressure type radiator like the Super C etc. The Super A radiator is shorter and may or may not be pressure type (unless it happens to be from a Super A1).

Mornin Jim, So are you sayin that the holes on each side of the grill wont line up with the holes in the bracket on the radiator? That could be a problem.

Never actually tried such a radiator swap so never checked location of the holes or alignment of any specic parts. I assume with a 100 grille on a Super A radiator, the filler cap would be below the upper sheet metal of the grille because the whole radiator is shorter.

I think your right Jim. You might be able to cobble something together if you wanted to make some thicker spacers for the bottom of the radiator and possibly a longer lower radiator hose, but it would propbablly be a shoemakers job at best :"(

Mornin Nick, I think that will work. If you were going the other way and tryin to put a Super A grill over a 100 radiator you might have a problem because of the overflow tube wouldnt work with the Super A grill.

Maybe others will jump in and offer some insight!
