I dont have a parts book yet but wondering if the one for a M calls out individual part numbers for the decals? I am working on that 1939 M and recived locations for the decals but refrences a part number I believe. This came form original IH documents. Thanks Paul

In SOME--but not all--parts book, there was a section near the back labeled "DECALCOMANIA' that listed the decals and the part numbers under which they were available [at the time of printing]...if I recall correctly.

There's a later decision that gives the number conversion scheme that IH used to go from the pre-1945 parts numbers to the post 1945 parts numbers.
