One of the ends of the steel hydraulic lines on my loader, think a model 34, is leaking. The end is a nut that turns independent of a colar on the line side of the nut. The nut turns into a short piece of pipe. Are there any good fixes for this, other than a new line?
Also, the flexible lines coming from my control valves go between the foot rest and the transmission and are chafing. Any ideas on fixing this problem?
Thank You for reading.

Hi Jimer, re steel line leaking at nut.. possibly a minute crack at the flare where the nut tightens on the tubing. Sometimes it is not easy to replace the steel lines with hydraulic hose. Make sure you get the proper fittings as there are tubing sizes and pipe sizes.
Re chaffing of hydraulic hose.. get a length of auto heater hose, split it with a knife and put it over the hydraulic hose where it is being chaffed and secure with Ty-wraps or hose clamps.

Hope this helps

See if a piece of hydraulic hose with the proper size & threads can be substituted for the steel line.
