Now that I have my H, I'll looking ahead to when it will be fully restored. So, I was thinking of starting a crop on my 1/4 acre of land.

I was thinking of Money Trees. Are those hard to grow? I haven't seen any out here, but I have seen other orchards, so I'm guessing the soil is good for trees.

Besides, I'll need to get back in the good graces of the wife after I spend obscene amounts of cash on the tractor restoration.

hmmm... Maybe livestock instead. Do they sell Cash Cows at auction?

Plant your land to "Agarwood". I understand the best quality wood sells for about $2000 per pound.

And the even better part is about the oil you get from it. The following is a quote from an expert in the field...
"The exotic fruity floral notes of agarwood oil evoke the scent of raspberries and pears...which is why every woman in the world finds it so irresistible!"

Sure couldn't hurt to have some of this stuff around.

I see that you live in California.

I was told that they raised more fruits, flakes, and nuts than any other state.

Mike, I think the oil companies already bought ALL of the cash cows.

Theres only one crop that I know of that you can grow and really make money doing so. But and heres the big part if the wrong person sees it then you will find your self on the wrong side of steel bars and I'm sure your wife would really be mad then LOL. But with that small plot you could probably make a mil the first year if you can hide it well enough LOL

What is it? I can't stand the suspense!

Corn? no

Peas? no

Alfalfa? hmmm. maybe

Beets! Sugar beets! That's it, isn't it! I can't stand beets. So I won't grow them. But who knew that beets were illegal! I'm shocked!

"old" is short for "old hippie" from the sound of things. Yah know, that package you sent me had a funny tangy aroma about it.

In all honesty many guys with small lots of ground like yours ARE renting them out to raise Seed for sugar beets. I know a friend of mine raised them this year instead of a garden. The seed companies will only let you raise them for a couple of years or so. I think he did make a few bucks, but he bought his veggies, toss up?

hmmm Back in the late 60s my dad had the soil and water conservation people come out and do a free soil analisis they said the ground was the best to raise sugar beets and thats about it. They also paid 1/2 the money to build our 50 by 100 farm pond. it was us boys summer place to hang as soon as school let out ahh what memories. JON

You made a mistake getting a Farmall H; you should have bought a Farmall D. "D" for "Dreamland". I hope your tractor turns out to be exceptionally good natured to your wallet. But, be prepared; it usually does not work that way. Expect a few bad surprises along the way to resto-land.
