Does anyone have information about rebuilding/repairing the hydraulic reservoir/control valve for a 1953 Super M with factory live hydraulics? Mine has a slight leak-probably a gasket. Also,it won't hold an implement up without eventually dropping.
Thanks

You will need to remove the reservoir from the tractor. Then remove the valve body (large rectangular plate) from the reservoir. The lever has to be disconnected from the inside. After you get this out the seal is easy to replace. My local IH dealer was able to get the seal and gasket in a couple days. If you do not have a repair manual you may be able to look at their exploded parts manual view to see just what you are getting into but it's really not difficult. good luck,
DeWayne

Thanks for the reply. I have the manual and can see the exploded view. I was just not sure what all should be replaced when I get it open. Thanks again.
