Farmall M H Owners Manuals?

My family has a 1947 Farmall H and a 1949 Farmall M that my grandfather bought new. The owners manuals have long since disappeared, and I need to get the correct manuals for both of them, but am somewhat confused by the different manuals that are available through this site. Any guidance woul be appreciated.

The H has been run regularly, but the M has been sitting in a shed since the mid 90's, and I'm wanting to get it up and running. I think my grandfather relegated it to "spare" status when he bought a John Deere 4020 for the heavier work.

Get your manuals from Binder Books, the manuals from this site (at least the ones I have) are low quality copies, hard to see the diagrams. Binder Book's are digitally copied, and the best reprints of the original manuals you can buy. They also have parts and service manuals, Blue Ribbon manuals, etc. 503-684-2024.

Which manuals specifically do you recommend? I"m guessing the "Operators manual," "Service manual, engine and chassis," and "Serviceman"s Guide to the Farmall H/M," sicne these look like the most improtant ones they have. Do you know the difference between the manuals and which are the most useful? Thanks for the help so far.

Operator's manual for both. Parts manual for H - TC 27E, for M - TC 28H. Engine and chassis service manual for H - GSS 5032, for M - GSS 5033. These are IH numbers, not Binder's numbers. Confirm these numbers with Binder when you order. I don't have any Serviceman's guides. I think they are abbreviated versions of the ones I listed. Depending on how deep you get into them, an I&T manual (covers all letter series) is helpful -- available at farm stores or can be ordered. Has some things the service manuals don't, but does not give much detail.
