For all you guys around western NY how are you doing on hay. I've still got 12 acres of brown timothy standing, hay customers waiting and got another 5 inches of rain this week. Is it just raining at my place?

We were lucky here on the west coast of British Columbia. The weather turned perfect just when the hay was ready to cut. I just love that super A with mid mount sickle bar. So much easier on the neck for an old geezer. My neighbors New Holland Hayliner decided to eat its driveline to the tune of $700 in new parts. Anyway my IH model 46 baler came to the rescue. Missed one knot in some 1200 bales.

One of those years! Mowed three fields here in s.w.Pa Tue.; one field of third cutting, one second and one first cutting!

OH NO, Its not just you I got my tractor stuck a few times trying to spray my beans never did get them all sprayed. It starts to dry for a day or two and bang 2" of rain. I see alot of people are chopping and bagging it now becuase they cant get it dry. I went by a few menenite farms two days ago and they were both setting up the equipment. It looks like a haylage year to me. JON

We only wish it would rain.

Amen to that, dryer that a presbetrian revival. We moved out west here 4 yrs ago from michigan with 3 cuttings of hay to MO where you hope for one cutting (If it rains) Takes some gettin used to. Having said that, We have quite a bit of hay available here, not like Texas where you can hardly buy hay for any price with the drought. Reminds me to be thankful for whatever I have. G
