I am working on parts for my early 1939 M. One of the baffles in the bottem is broke from its spot welds. Is there a way to repair this? Will it hurt anything if I leave it? 39 tanks are different from other M tanks so would like to use this one. Thanks Paul

If you can fish it up to the filler hole, you could remove the tank, fill the it with running water, and bend it till it fits through the hole then live without it. JimN

I would never sell a tank with a loose baffle but I've run my TO 20 Fergie several years with the baffle floating in the bottom. Can it spark as long as it's wet?
