Been looking at a H, engine stuck, manifold has holes that shouldn't be there, no carb and tires, don't ask. On plus side has a Heisler hand clutch unit with handle missing. Owner will not price and wants to know value of tractor and Heisler unit. Thanks for any help you can give. Bob

Some years back I had dealings with a fellow that went something like this. If I had hay to sell he would not make an offer. I had to set a price and he would either accept or reject it. He wouldnt bargain or dispute a price you set on your item. Most buyers would try to get you to lower your price and you would have to come to a satisfactory price.

Walk away from this tractor and the guy trying to sell it. He wants you to set a price and you this is a lose/lose situation for you.

As far as the value, $200 to $300. minus hauling charges to the salvage yard.

I suspect you're looking at a M&W hand clutch instead of a heiser hand clutch. Repair parts are hard to find and they are a devil to remove. Skip this tractor and look for a better deal.

I would mention to him that a bucket with a hole in it isn't a bucket, a plow without the shares isn't a plow, and a hand clutch without the handle isn't a hand clutch. Scrap price for the tractor.

Well with out the hand cluthc it would be worth around $100-150 if that but with the hand clutch I have no idea.

Kinda sounds like the hand clutch is the only good part of this tractor, and since it is missing the handle the value just went way down. I'd say you're real close at $100 to $150.

Well thats one thing I have yet to see so I knew I could only go by what I know of what one is worth with out it. I fugure its worth about what a guy could get if it was scrapped, not that, that is what I would do with it. As far as I'm concerned the olny scrap part of a tractor is bad/broken parts

Here's how I looked at it. Tires are gone, at least $500 for tires. Manifold needs replaced, $150. Carburetor is missing, another $200 to $300. We're getting real close to $1,000, and that same money will buy an H that has good tires and is running.

Drive out and see Yosmite National Park. While you are driving, make sure you have an H on the trailor behind you! :D

The lake of the ozarks area of Missouri. I even have one that is good for parts. The engine is locked up in it, and its missing the manifold.
