57 would be 6 volt pos ground.

That's kind of what I thought but I had seen somewhere that around 1955 a lot of Farmall's went to negative ground. Thanks

Most companys didn't go to - gorund till after 1960. but I can not be 100% sure I jsut know most before where + ground.

Farmall didn't go to negative ground till they changed to 12 volts.
