...but wasn't the original-style Cub distributor [yeah, I KNOW the "original" Cubs all had magnetos...but I'm talking distributors here] just a tad smaller than the A-B-C-H-M distributor?

Reason I'm asking is, the distributor on Mom's Cub seems to have less clearance between it and the oil filter/starter area than I remember on the Cubs we used to own when I was a kid. Isn't the Cub distributor, like the J4 mag was a tad bit smaller than the H4, just a bit smaller than the "letter-series" distributor?

The Cub distributor is a little smaller, I think, but regardless there is not much room to the oil filter.

My IH manual has the distributor P/N for the Cub as 353 893 R91. It's not listed for any of the lettered tractors. Hal
