Model A starter question

If your connections are clean, bright & tight, yours should do the same.

Did your "professional" starter overhauler rewind your starter for 12 volts?

Even if the starter isnt stroung enough at 6 volts to crank over a piston on compression, it ought to grunt or try at least until a piston comes up on compression, does it do that or like never turn at all???

Ya dont reckon the starter rebuilder converted it to 12 volts when he did the rebuild???? maybe he picked up a set of 12 volt field windings by mistake!!!!! !!

I have no specs or data to answer your question of any difference in the starters, but I doubt there could be so much difference the regular 6 volt starter wouldnt still crank the engine over albeit slowly.

For now (assuming the battery is okay like ElToro noted) I gotta go with a bad cable connection or a bad starter connection or a bad ground or else the rebuilder accidentally made a 12 volt starter out of it.
