i wanted to know if Im crazy for wondering If a 1568 would be a better proposition than a massey
V8 type tractor,?
It seem,s like you can get part,s easier for an IH than you can with a Massey,
And i think their a little bit cheaper,
Maybe In Nut,s,
But i saw that 1568 in the IH picture file, and It REALLY LOOKED SWEET!
i thought much better looking than a Massey 2745,or an 1155,
Better control,s too,i think their better designed,
So, Ill see, and maybe one will pop up when Im not looking for it,

We have both a Farmall 1568 and a John Deere 8850 with V-8s. They are both good tractors as long as the "don't lug the engine" rule of thumb is followed.

Depends on whether your loyalties are on the red/white/black side of the line, or the red/gray side. Lots of bad stuff has been said over the years about the DV-550 in the Farmall; meanwhile, the Perkins diesel in the MF is pretty stout, but parts for a Perkins seem to me are pretty high thru the MF dealers.

And I'm a Farmall guy myself. Not experienced with the 1568, mind you, but I hear things about 'em from time to time. Dad was a Farmall dealer from the '40's thru the '60's, but he had a lot of respect for Perkins diesels...and not much respect for the diesel stuff IH was putting out before the DT-466.
