Heading back to AZ on Tuesday, school starts on August 7th this year for my wife and I. She has a class starting July 31st, I need to be at work August 2nd. I'm still teaching 6th and she is teaching 3rd again.I bought my Dad's H a couple days ago for $1500. My mom's cousin bought it from Dad around 1978 with a fresh overhaul by my Dad. He only had it a couple of years before it blew a rod bearing and he replaced it with a D15 Allis. It sat for a year before he overhauled then was sold. Anyways, now it's back in the family. I paid a little more than I thought it was worth, but it has 4 new tires on it and runs well with all working gears, etc. So my H is 101816 which is an early '42 with the old style PTO and distillate engine and cast hubs made for rubber and Dad's is 122068X3B which is one of the last ones made in '42 with kerosene engine 5000 foot altitude and the newer style PTO that sticks out farther along with cutoff steel. Sorry, didn't have the camera along the other day when I bought it, no pics. There is one more letter series I want to add to my collection someday: a Farmall B. Dad ran one growing up cultivation corn, hauling manure, stacking hay, etc. and talks about it all the time. Hope I haven't bored you to death! Here is the latest aerial photo of my Dad's farm:
