Well we were supposed to bind up some wheat today to thrash at our show in AUGUST. But at 7am it poured rain. Met some of the guys at the diner for breakfast then went for a drive, where the wheat is it was dry, but the air was damp. so we waited awile. Got a call at 2pm that we were goin at"er. So stop by tim hortons on the h&M for a coffee, pick up the wagons and head to the field, got the binder set up, and started, had some minor problems with the binder, but that got fixed, got half a load on and the dark sky come up quick and started to rain, so load up the binder and park it and the tractors n wheat in the farmers shed down the road. It sure is amazing to see and old ih binder at work, and then a 9600 deere right beside it, the funny thing is, the wheat that was bound, and put through a treshing machine, is alot better sample the the wheat in that combine.

Mitch, are you putting it through your new Goodison Thresher? I'd come down to the show to see it running. Have you got any pics of the Goodison to post for every one? I've been busy, this hot weather and my meds don't work very well together, I feel really tired, got 20 acres of straw to do and 11 of hay to cut this week, that'll be abiut all I can handle..take care Mike in Exeter Ontario

Good Luck with it. We cut some last week and hoped to load it today. Got over an inch of rain Wed. and the another inch yesterday. Just to wet, gonna check it again in hte morning, spread out the shocks and let it get some sun. Bunch of others thought they could bind today and load right out of the field. I don't know, but I think it was too wet to do this. They kept at it, not wnating to listen, just hope we don't have loads of moldy wheat.

we cut our wheat to thresh at our fair the eight of july. it was dry enough to load right on the wagons so we didn't have to shock it. i have a deering new ideal grain binder and it works great, usually. good luck with the weather, randy
