Got a nice addition to the collection in my basement when an older gentleman who has been I.H. all his life decided it was time to move some of these things on to a "younger" red guy. Got a perfect I.H. coleman jug with the bracket and literature from the 50's and 60's. Just spent an hour looking thru the 65 buyers guide and a special parts brochure from 1957. Some of those prices seem so incredibly low but I guess gas was 25 cents and a pop was a dime. Sure seems like life was simpler then back in the 100 degree heat in Iowa but I know we had setbacks then too. Was almost a 100 here in Northwest Wa today so the nostalgic feelings were all lined up I guess. migraine

I know what you mean. The Lavender Festival was held last week and quit a few red tractors made it out of the barns and into the lavender fields.
How about those temps yesterday? It was 97 here in Sequim.

Know what you mean. I grew up in NE Iowa in the 50's and had all red as well. Now that I'm on the Olympic Peninsula, I still have Red. Went to an estate sale last April and scored on some neat stuff as well. Will I see you at Lynden in a few short weeks?

Olympic Peninsula? Where you at?
We would love to see you gentlemen at Lynden this year but it is not in the cards. Take lots of pictures so you can show us what we missed.

Yeah, we are getting them ready for the show August 2 thru 5 here in Lynden Wa. Trying to get as many implements behind the tractors as possible this year so I'm borrowing some from other I.H. guys. Should have about 20 or so tractors there from our stable and will pull 6 or 8 depending on how many drivers I have. Some of my regular show pullers are not coming from Iowa this year so I may be recruiting. Any I.H. guys gonna be in Wa that time and want a free ride down the track get ahold of me. I get more joy from letting other guys have fun than just watching them set in a line. Few years ago here at the show I helped a older gent get on my 300 since he had a stroke and took a little doing but the tears down his cheeks and the hug from his daughter saying "dad will cherish this for a long long time" was the best part of that whole 4 days. He had a 300 in his farming years and just wanted a chance to see if he could still remember the gears. He did just fine. Thats what makes this hobby fun in my book. Migraine

That is great, Migraine !!
I know I got my Dad on his 350 he bought new back in about 1958. Then I took a photo too of him on it. He was pretty good on getting on it. Just before he turned 90.
Photo not too good here ....
I learned so much on this tractor, and from him. Your story here made me recall all this, thanks so much ! We still have this row-crop 350, as we used it a lot in farming days with sugar beets, pinto beans, raking alfalfa, irrigated farm chores, etc.....
Best,

MJD
