I'm doing some work on my 756, and a neighbor came by and is telling me i've got a junk yard unit. He doesn't think my 3pt/drawbar is correct for a 756. The drawbar is a heavy 1 piece unit vs. the 2 part one's i've seen on other 756's, and 826's. It is just one heavy straight bar. any thoughts/input? i'm not torn up about it, i've still got a tractor that works, but am just curious.

My 756 looks the same as yours even the top link (someone stole my top link a couple months ago alnog with the bale fork that was on it) so it now has the 86 series like yours and the sway control is the same also.

Yes it is a replacement...we had some tractors sitting at another farm, and are now short 3 toplinks, a new 3pt bale spear, and a brand new spear for a loader. the crazy thing is the gates were locked, they had to carry these things 100yards, and pitch them over a 5 strand barbed wire fence. we have since found that using a cable lock in the lynch pin hole on the tractor end of the toplink keeps at least 1/2 of the toplink around

NW,

That drawbar is out of a later model 66 series.

They changed the design about '74 to that heavier type. To shorten it up, you have to crawl up under the belly of the tractor, pull the pin and slide 'er forward instead of just switching the short bar end for end.

yep, that's the way it works. the neighbor seemed to think that some of that drawbar support/sway limiter business was different on this one vs. most 756's. the pics aren't that good to show that part clearly.

Not to worry, you've got the new and improved version. :>)

That center link appears to be off of an 86 series too? (The little T-handle type retainer).

am also looking for one of these. i somehow lost one, then bought one from a salvage yard, but it doesn't have the full circle loop like mine did.
