OK, Battery good and charged. Wires good. Replaced cap and rotor. Still no fire. Gas leaking out the drip hole of the carb. Is it possible that it's not turning over due to fuel not reaching the cylinder? (silly question but had to ask). Engine is cranking fine, just won't turn over. I guess points, condenser and coil next? I wouldn't begin to know how to test them. Where can I get a fairly inexpensive carb rebuild kit to include the float? THANKS

Is the rotor lined up with the tower when the mag trips. Tke out all spark plugs take off the cap so you can see rotor turn when cranking engine over then you can check to if rotor lines up with tower and also get #1 on tdc to see if the wires going to plugs are correct. When was the last time engine ran?

Thanks for the input. You are assuming though that I know what a tower and "mag trip" are, I am sorry I don't. I am quite the novice. Engine ran fine until about 3 weeks ago, always. Then it developed this leak thru the drip hole in the carb, and that was all she wrote.

If it is cranking, it is turning over. I assume it is cranking over but not starting and running. You say you have no spark. Then, I would not worry about fuel not reaching the cylinders until after you get fire. So, yes - points, condenser and possibly coil.
You can get a decent carb kit at NAPA. Does not have a float in it, though. Check yours by submerging in a bucket of water first. Look for bubbles, Shake to see if there is water inside. Floats are available at dealers and aftermarket tractor supply companies.
Good luck. Mike
