A 360 out of a 886 or 310 out of a 666 makes a nice puller these are the baby 1066 motors.Use the 666 clutch and motor plate.Or you will have to get a 301 out of a combine gas or diesel or a 301 gas out of a 806.

236,282,301 are all the same block just different bore amd crank. I pull a 460 turbocharged about 290 cu inch and I think thats about all that small rearend and axles were made for. Probably would have trouble getting a 361, 407 or 414 into the space betwen the frame rails but I suppose it could be done but check what the rules are for your pulling club or area. They might call for the original block and other limitations. Migraine

erj-IA, Does the 310 or 360 require any sheetmetal work? Does anyone else know of other possible options without major sheetmetal work? Thanks
