RustyFarmall, I live 9 milles from this tracror in question. Went and looked at it today, parts missing, like the block, head, hood, gas tank, nose piece. Now It has powersteering, belly pump, two real good rear rims, no tires at all. the searl plate is damaged, but to best of my looking the no is FB? 2084X1. Th markings on the transmission case are 8002 DD 23( which is up side down could 32) CWC 12-30-46 Could any body tell me what it Is? H Or M?. It has been primed and cleaned steering past is rotten need replaced. Also has oil pan, radiater govner control housing complete, with steering pump mounted. The best part of it is the price was right. $00.oo, man said just get it out of my way. Jack in Fla

8002 is casting number for a M transmission case. 12-30-46 would be cast date for part. If things are original it would have been a 1947 M and the serial should have 6 didgit number before the X1 starting with a one.

Those rear rims could be worth maybe $100 each. The power steering unit could fetch you $400? Might want to take a closer at the serial number plate, The prefix for a Farmall H will be FBH, the prefix for an M will be FBK. If I were you I would take the tractor, finish parting it out and sell those parts, or save them, and find a more complete H that needs those parts.
