FARMALLL 130 INNER REAR AXLE COVER NEEDED

On my FARMALL 130, I am missing the cover fdor the rear axle on the final drive, on the inside of the final drive. You can see it best looking in from just above the drawbar. It has a square base with 4 bolts and projects out in a half round shape to cover the axle stub.
Where could I locate this part, new or used? What is the correct name.
Thanks, in advance

I have looked for one of those covers for a long time for my Super A.

I have two 140's and my cousin has a cub, a Super A, and a 140 and on everyone of them that cover is missing.

It takes a "longer" cover than the one that is on the right side, if there ever was a cover (which I wonder if there was).

Anyway I gave up on finding a cover and instead got the gear that drives the fertilizer and put it on there.

Mornin CDM, I needed one on my 49 Super A, because I had the side dresser drive attachment on mine as Hugh was talking about. I put an advertisement in the classifieds section of this forum and got one very quick. Try it I think you will have good luck with it.

cdm: I doubt if anyone can put a better name on the cover than you have, unless they might call it an inner axle cap. You best source will be a scrap yard or used tractor parts sales. It should be an easy find as the A, SA, 100, 130 or 140 cap will all fit. Keep your eye on other equipmant as I'm sure IH used that cap on other applications.

Just to be curious, which side is missing? Quite often on the left side these tractor had what is called seed plate drive. In that case the cap had a hole in center with an extension shaft from axle through the hole and a seal around the shaft. This was used for driving seeders and side dressers. I said left side, however I expect it could be mounted on either side depending on equipment being driven by it. Quite often when you see the cap missing, someone was actually after the seed plate drive and didn't bother to replace it with the cap.
