hey guys I just got farmall AV from my BIL,, I tried to start it today, stale gas, I drained it out, about 1/2 tank, boy that stuff stinks, , anyway I put a aux tank on just to see if it would start, well it wouldn't, choke was froze up, so I took off the carb, that thing wouldnt have started with nitro, it is clogged full of junk, I tried to take it apart and teh choke lever broke in my hand the inside looks really bad, cant be rebuilt, I will need a new one, or at least a rebuildable one,, what carbs fit this, and also this has a zenith is that original? thansk pat

You can get new ones on this site for less than 150 would be your best bet as a rebuilt one needs a core and yours is broke. ZENITH is correct.

I could rebuild it for you, beleive me, I have seen just as bad or worse, and it can be done but a brand new aftermarket reproduction carb can be bought for less money than it would cost to rebuild yours.

thanks guys , I wasnt sure if the zenith was original, I will be getting a book soon for this one, maybe I will post in the classifieds about needing a used one, and yes I agree to have this rebuilt correctly will be way more than a new one, I found that out on my 40 JD b,, I want to get it going even if its just so its easier to put in the shed, restore will have to wait until after my sons cub, the other ones SM 5000. my N, the trailer I am building, ,, oh man what have I done, thansk pat

The Zenith carburetor number be 161X7-9752 gas.
They were used on the A's, B's, AV's and B's.
Someone that post's on here may have a good used carburetor. Hal
