Could anyone send me a wiring schematic to convert a 140 Farmall tractor from 6 volts to 12volts. We are using a GM alternator. Thank you.

The picture above is a Delco 12SI Make sure you have a three wire alternater if you use the picture above. They also make an internally excited one wire alternater that is in common use.(internally excited) they look exaclty the same. (you can convert a one wire to a three wire and visa versa by installing the appropriate voltage regulator in it).

Change the coil to a true 12-Volt coil, or add a ballast resistor ahead of the coil you have.

Connect the coil's (+) terminal to the ignition switch (or resistor, if used), and the coil's (-) terminal to the distributor.

Connect the alternator like the photo below.

You can use a #194 lamp as an "idiot light" in place of the diode.

Change any lights to 12-Volts.

Bob I am surprised you kin come over here and post yer 3 wire set up and not offend enny one or find sumone who needs a hug, seriously guess you found the trouble makers over were I hang out most of the time. I have found it best to not answer their post or replies it realy pizz’izz’em of more. Theirs more than you read think about it and I am not sure what they are up to, Sure hope I out live’em or they loose their job. Keep up the good werk I really like yer style.
