be replaced on a stag one super h without splitting the tractor? Or does it have to be split? There are three teeth on third gear that are missing need someone to weld them back that way i wouldn,t need to tear it down. Thanks for your help Delbert.

Not necessary to split the tractor. Drop the lift All out and then take the clutch shaft coupling loose. You do not have to remove the clutch shaft, athough it's a little tricky to get it all just right to come out. After clutch coupling is loose, then take out the bolts that hold the front transmission bearing holder and the front bearing retainer bolts. When you get things just right, the bearing holder and with the bearings, seals and the transmission input gear will come out. This has to be done from under the tractor and of course would be easier if you split in front of the transmission, but most folks don't have all the supports needed to hold things up to do that and to get it all aligned to put back.

The basic structure of the Super H transmission is the same as the H. You can replace everything in it without splitting the tractor. I'd guess that if you know that about the gear you've already got the cover off, so you've done the hard part. The Stage one has the Liftall, right? Drop that, take the clutch shaft out, take the front parts off the two shafts, I forget what next...
I have to add, service manuals are a big help, but as far in as you are I'll bet you can figure it out.
Good luck, Wm

I have never seen a tooth welded back on that held up long if at all, you should replace that gear out you could/will end up takeing out more gears when the tooth/teeth brake off again

I think you might be able to do it but in my opinion it would be a lot less trouble to split the tractor.
