hello once again,

I have a 1946 farmall H and I was wondering how to adjust the carb? It runs to rich! Also how do you adjust the idle speed. I want to get it to idle slower. It idles faster than all the other H's I've seen. Also my H has 12.4x38 rear tires could I fit 11.2x38 tires on the same rims? Thanks for all the advice you guys gave me on my previous post! Nick

You need a good set of manuals. you can start here and download the parts manual here free. THe idle jet small screw with a spring towards the top and the main jet is the big screw at the bottom with the spring. A good starting point of reference for your carb is "The idle mixture screw (idle jet)is set at 1 1/2 turns out. The load mixture screw (main jet) is set at 3 turns out." so tighten your jets down slowly and count how many turns to get to the bottom and then see how far off the reference point you are. 3 turns out is a starting point, fine tune from there.
