LOOSE front spindles on 756

I borrowed a 756 from a neighbor because I was short a tractor and he told me it had a few "idiosyncracies". He was right. The front spindles are so loose that I can't run the tractor over 8 mph or the front wheels wobble so bad I am afraid something bad will happen. Is this a normal thing for 756's? I am totally new to IH's so have no experience with them. Is there a simple, cheap fix to this?

Thanks for any replies,
Jake

Take the arms off. Brakeclean the spindles and arms to get the grease off, then fill the splines in the arms with JB weld. Let the JB Weld set up over night. We have a 1066 that I did the spindles over 5000 hours ago and they are still tight.

A&I make "undersized replacements" for the arms on top of the spindles that the tie rods connect to. They are smaller and eliminate the wear from years of work. We replaced ours last year 756 has about 7000 hours and it drives like a new one now. I think the set was $150 dollars or so.
