Recently rebuilt (after sitting for a while) 560 gas had extremely high oil pressure. Pulled oil pressure relief valve screw and spring and found dirt and rust and a stuck piston. Any ideas on how to get it out?

I got it unstuck! Sprayed it good with PB blaster and went through the top of the oil filter base with a small pry bar and worked it back and forth until it came free. Honed the bore and polished the piston with a 3" scotch brite disc and works great. Thanks for the replies.

I've Had 3 hrs to think on this. I do not know where the valve is located. With that in mind, I would heat the material around the valve with a propane torch, moving the flame a lot to keep it even, Then I would use some (don't laugh) wart freezing product from the drug store to chill the spool. If it has a stub on the end, I would use a needle nosed visegrip to grab it and put some outward removing force on it. (it probably can't move any farther in because it is stuck in. Good luck, and let us know the outcome. JimN

It is called OLD AGE AND NEGLECT . Gas engines that are only run for short peirods of time make lot of condensation sorta like a tolet tank and unless they are worked for several hours to Burn out the moisture then it end up in places that ya don't want it to and makes for lots of sludge. The wrong use of oil in a gas engine does not help , but we ain't going there as i am out of breath on this subject so what ever someone want to run in his or hers tractor that is there choise and later down the road we will listen tothem wine about there problems.
