I had a friend that converted a forklift from Propane to gasoline and it was got pretty involved even though he had the gasoline parts. I believe he had to change the cylinder head etc.

WHY? Unless you have a cheap supply of LPG it"s not worth it. In CA Propane costs more than gasoline

Your best bet is going to be to get what you need from another LP tractor. A lot of the conversions were done in Lubbock , Texas. I don't know the company name, but there is usually a plate on the tank that gives the name.
I would think that it will very expensive if you buy all new parts though.

Your propane supplier can supply the conversion.And you won't have to change the head, just the carb.and mount and plumb the vaporizer regulator to your water system.
