I have a factory 400 LP and I am having a problem with the Ensign regulator on it. The regulator has had a humming sound coming from it for some time and now it seems to be starving for fuel. Is there any adjustments on this regulator or does it need to be rebuilt? I have seen posts before about someone in Oklahoma or Kansas who makes kits for them. Does anyone know who this is or have a phone # for them. Any other advice, tips, or information on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know where there might be a rebuild kit or complete regulator laying around that I might be able to purchase? This tractor is way to nice not to keep it original, And I would like to keep it that way if possible. Thanks

farmallkid, The fellow you are asking about is....
Everhart 2way & LPG Supply
Rt. 169
Lone Wolf, Okla.
580-846-5633
He has rebuild kits for most LP systems. Good Luck!
The LP carb probably needs new diaphrams too.
Be sure to have the vopirizor Model and Ser #. Also the # of the carb too.
Later,
John A.

Kid,

People seemed to get confused about what does what.

Are you talking about the evaporator? Never heard of anyone ever having to rebuild a regulator.

Almost any propane outlet can get you the parts for that old Ensign evaporator. They are about as simple as it gets. Leaky diaphragm usually is the culprit if it is starving for fuel.

That goes to show you what I know about these LP tractors. I need all the help I can get and I appreciate your help very much. I stand corrected on the fact that it is an evaporator. I will check and see if I can get the parts locally. Thanks again, Hal
