A friend just got an 806 with one hydraulic outlet, needs 2 for the baler. I told him go to a junkyard and get one to add on. He was told by his local junkyard (west central wisc.) it would be $500.00 We were both shocked. Is this the going rate for the stuff to add an outlet? Thanks.

Well i just checked on a complet second valve and they are just that and maybe a tad over that so i guess this is the going rate. Maybe i should hit my old 806 in the head and start parting it out .

There really is no "going rate." It's whatever the junkyard wants to charge, and whatever the customer is willing to pay.

I take it this junkyard didn't have one on the lot, and was going to have to order it from some junkyard network? Or was he getting new parts? He shouldn't be "shocked" at his own prices!

Take a look under the seat. He may have lucked out and gotten an earlier 806 with the "power beyond" end plate for the hydraulic valve stack. If so, he can use simple Cross-style open-center spool valves like you can buy at Tractor Supply to add as many additional remotes as he wants.

The end plate will be a separate piece from the valve body. On newer tractors, they had a special valve that had the end plate permanently attached. The end plate will have a plug in it where you can attach a hydraulic hose for pressure. Even if the end plate doesn't have the plug, if it's separate from the last valve body, it can be replaced with the power beyond plate.
