I have a Super M which needs some work. One thing I would like to do is convert it from a 6 volt system to a 12 volt system. Can anyone tell me what parts I have to change to make this conversion?

If you go to the archives there is an excellent diagram done by Bob M that tells you what you need and how to put it together right.

If you are going to keep the 6 volt ignition you will need to install a ballast resistor between your ignition switch and coil. The coil now probably has the + plus terminal wire going to the distributor, when you convert the - minus
terminal wire will go to the distributor since you will be using a negative ground on the 12 volt battery. If you are using a magneto no change is required. I may not have covered everything. Hal

You'll need a 12-volt alternator (Delco 10si internally regulated preferred), and replace the lights. Everthing else will work.
