can anyone tell me about a Zenith Carb. Their is a piece of a part I wonder how it works , and what it does. It on the side it looks like a T and you can turn it all the way in or out. How much do I turn it, when I have it all the way in. I assume it how much gas goes threw the carb, to fill up the float .. I'm guessing this. Please help ..?

if its on the botttom side screw it out to let fuel out of the bottom of the carb or water dirt ect. then screw it out to stop the fuel from comming out.

That adjusts the main jet. I assume it is on an A,B,C, or Super C, perhaps through about the 130 or 230. If so, that is a distillate/kerosene carb that you adjust with the throttle wide open, engine warm, turn in until it runs rough, out until smooth. Should start turned out 2-3 turns, but although I have 3 of those carbs, none are distillate. Thus I am not positive about the adjustment. The gas version has a fixed main jet. I think that screw is used to lean the mixture, as kerosene/distillate does not burn well. Likely immaterial to you as you will be using gasoline.

What tractor is this carburetor on? It could be an idle adjustment screw or a main jet adjusting screw. Hal
