Here's my little 424 diesel I have referred to from time to time on this Forum.

Third Party Image

It's going into the shop for some PTO disconnect repairs, and a tidying up of the hydraulic hoses a PO added when converting to power steering.

I wish I had time to repaint it!

Nice tractor
May I ask where you found the power steering unit?
I have a 424 gas and would like so much to add power steering.
Would you mind if I asked how much the add on cost also, thanks so much,Jer.

Hi Bob, now that I have seen your picture
could you post a short description of a 424.
Where made, engine size, HP, etc.

Looks similar to 434 that was sold in N. America.

Thanks
JB2

It would look like new with One Step Urethane from PPG. I just painted a Troy Bilt tiller with it and it looks like new. Used the Farmall
2150 paint number and PPG's number is 71310 and I used the hardener. I used a HVLP spray gun and it only used a pint of paint. You don't lose much paint with overspray. Hal

Shoot as good as it looks all you need to do is wash it and then put on some turtle wax. You will be surprised how good it would looked waxed

Kinda what I was thinking, it would sure be worth a try before going to the work and expense of painting.
