I am going to replace my original IH carburetor (1959 Cub) with an Zenith. The mounting bolt spacing for the Zenith is 1 13/16", can someone confirm if this is the correct spacing for the factory carburetor?

Thanks

The Zenith carb will bolt up to the cub manifold. The flange on the carb will stick out all around the manifold flange but it will work. The only thing you really need to watch for is interference between the butterfly and the manifold bore. Most of the manifolds have a slight bevel at the mounting surface. If yours does not, you can either bevel it or add a second gasket which will provide enough clearance.

Hmmmm could be close, 1 13/16 is 1.8125. I"m hoping it works because I"m ready to get it out of the shop and running, we have two others that have to be fixed as well.

Just measured two of mine and got 1.850 center to center. these are older Cubs with the IH carb.

are you referring to the air horn? If so there is an adapter hose that tapers down to fit the air cleaner.

Well, my daughter has my Cub up on her farm, so it's not readily available to measure (mine's a 59 also)but the throat on the original carb is only 3/4 inch...so I believe that the Zenith won't fit !! Wow! I've got nearly all the specs except that ! Lots of luck on'er! Jim

Throat size is irrelevant. The Zentih Cub carburetor will bolt right up to the original manifold. No problem.
