Hey Folks

The 140 Farmall that we recently purchased is missing when the engine is warm.BADLY!! Won't pull it self in 4th and barely in 3rd bad. When we cultivate at idle it does't miss ( or not that you can tell.) the engine doesn't smoke ever. The motor runs SO sweet when it is cold. I'm thinking valves? Any other suggestions would be GREAT!!. Have a great day,
Matt

In addition to what RBF has offered, make sure to check intake manifold gaskets by squirting some oil from a pump oiler around the manifold/ head area. If the engine smoothes out, suspect intake gasket or intake manifold nuts being loose.

Im guessing you need a valve adjustment or possibly a tune up sparkplugs can deliver irratic and weak spark if there are bad or fouled.I would do both and if that dont get it I would suspect the coil delivering weak spark, because they too can give problem after thet warmup but from what your saying I would do a valve adjustment and run it and give it a complete tune up....River Bottom Farmer
