I am trying to order rings for a 450D but the dealer can't tell me the bore, just 264 cid or 281 cid.

Can anybody verify for me that the 450D has a 281 engine with a 4-1/8 bore?

I know the bore is 4-1/8 and the dealer knows he has 281 rings and I need to know if they'll fit.

All original 450 D came with 4 and 1/8 pistons. If you have IH pistons you may find a # on top of piston.

The 450D used the 281cid engine with the original bore at 4.00". An oversize sleeve to 4.125" kit was probably installed at one time.

Have you measured the sleeves for wear? I would measure the ring width on each ring and see if the new rings are the same width. Hal
